Disgorged in May 2020 without dosage, the 2015 Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru Le Bateau Vieille Vigne is showing brilliantly, mingling scents of citrus oil, crisp orchard fruit and white flowers with notions of fresh bread and oyster shell. Full-bodied, layered and vinous, its textural attack segues into a deep and concentrated core of fruit that's framed by chalky structuring dry extract and girdled by bright acids. Deep and complete, this superb Champagne is one of Adrien Dhondt's finest to date.
