Syrah, Marie et Pierre Benetiere 2016

Tasting Notes

(steel vat, bottling April 2018) full, dark red. There’s winning style on the nose, mulberry and ripe raspberry, with a good, appealing curve, beef stock. The palate is on the button, the debut tasty, fluid gras following, along with neat tannins, good, fresh length. It gains some drive on the late moments. This is good, vibrant win that holds plenty of juicy matter, iron notes also. It ends on mineral clack. There is good, live fruit here; it’s direct and pleasing, keeps going well. Decanting advised. From 2021. 4.5/5 Stars
