The 2015 Morey-Saint-Denis Les Faconnières 1er Cru has a slightly reduced bouquet that feels smudged and lacks the grace and harmony of its peers. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and rather dry in the mouth. The aggressive finish tastes as if the oak were mishandled. Tough going at the moment, although it will soften with time. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting. 2021 - 2032
