Chassagne Montrachet Abbaye de Morgeot, Louis Jadot 2019

Tasting Notes

Domaine Louis Jadot
The vines are in a cuvette, which maybe helps to hold back ripening in this clay rich soil. Medium to full yellow. A richer heavier nose here, very satisfying nonetheless, as is the palate, all in white fruit, clothed in its oak. The persistence is certainly there. Not for the faint-hearted, but a very good wine in 2019. We like Morgeot this year. Tasted: October 2020

Notes of orange oil, fresh pastry, pear and warm bread preface the 2019 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Abbaye de Morgeot (Domaine Louis Jadot), a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping wine that's lively and charming, with a generous core of fruit girdled by lively acids.
