This wine has all the elements that the "regular" Bussia has, but it is less immediate and feels way more serious. There is more concentration and more layers of fruit and spice - cinnamon, Christmas cake and plump, juicy fruit. There is a big tannic structure and it is an intense wine - it will need time to soften but when it does, expect fireworks. Drink 2025 onwards.
Pale ruby. Much more concentration on the nose than the Bussia tout court. Sweet palate entry is utterly seductive with a skein of freshness to follow, though again it finishes very dry. Plate of truffled pasta, please! Intense, with a bit of a peacock’s tail on the finish. 2022-2032
