Nuits Saint Georges VV, Domaine Robert Chevillon 2019

Tasting Notes

Dense aromas of black cherry, plum, earth and whiffs of wood and the sauvage give way to sleek, delicious and detailed flavors that are finer but not denser, all wrapped in an equally attractively textured finish that is more structured. This too is very good for its level plus it should reward up to a decade of cellaring. Note: this cuvée is mostly from La Charmotte and Au Chouillet, with bits and pieces from Aux Saints Jacques, Les Charmois, Les Maladières, Les Chaliots and Les Brûlées plus a few others too small to mention

Aromas of wild berries, smoked meats, orange rind and rich soil tones introduce the 2019 Nuits-Saint-Georges Vieilles Vignes, a medium to full-bodied, layered wine built around powdery tannins and lively acids.
