Surprisingly, this is riper than the Maréchaudes with emphatic spice and game aromas, indeed even a certain sauvage quality with more obvious structure to the big, rich and intense flavors of considerable depth and copious sappy extract. The finish is intense, punchy and rather linear at the moment. Excellent potential here and this will require the better part of a decade to reach its apogee.
