Tasting Notes

The 2020 Les Champs Libres, 100% Sauvignon Blanc, slowly emerges from the glass with graceful scents of lemon curd, lime leaves, and orange blossoms with suggestions of sea spray, coriander seed, and wet pebbles. The medium-bodied palate has a gorgeous, quiet intensity with a crisp backbone and loads of mineral accents, finishing long and energetic. This is captivating.

The density and intensity to this is impressive with lime, lemon rind, dried mango and hints of lemon curd. Some crushed stone. It’s full and layered. Solid. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Les Champs Libres has quite a pithy bouquet, scents of peach skin, beeswax and a hint of white truffle in the background. Fine delineation. The palate is well-defined, with fine depth, slightly nutty with a touch of sour lemon. Quite persistent, hints of nectarine on the aftertaste. Just lovely.
