Chambolle Musigny Les Veroilles, Domaine Ghislaine Barthod 2002

A tight and ultra-pure nose of distilled essence of pinot fruit followed by wonderfully detailed, focused and chiseled flavors that possess an abundant minerality and a subtle sauvage character. Curiously, the long finish possesses good fat yet this comes across as a bit austere at present. Terrific quality in a very pure, understated, wonderfully silky style. In short, this is flat out gorgeous.
