Medium deep purple with blacker centre. Ripe fruit with some roasted coffee notes, emanating from vineyard, vintage or barrel? Then the fruit starts to develop. It fills the mouth beautifully without pushing too far, two thirds whole bunch really shows at the back. I love the elegance and detail of the finish. This has a lot of character for Corbeaux. A plethora of floral top notes add a touch of elegance to the dark berry aromas that are cut with copious sauvage nuances. The rich, concentrated and velvety larger-scaled flavors possess an abundance of sappy dry extra that does a good job of buffering the firm tannins shaping the impressively complex and sneaky long finish. Patience strongly advised.
