Tasting Notes

Soft wood sets off the equally broad-ranging nose of notably ripe yet fresh aromas of both white and yellow orchard fruit, jasmine tea, toasty wood and an exotic whisper of passion fruit. The focused and relatively sleek flavors don't have quite the same mid-palate density of the Chevalier but there is a seemingly endless reserve of depth and drive on the amazingly long finish. This gorgeous effort is presently a block of stone and it would be pointless to open a bottle for a least 10 years and it's very likely that 20 will be necessary to experience it at its peak.
