Gevrey Chambertin Cazetiers, Domaine Bruno Clair 2011

Tasting Notes

This is arguably the most sauvage wine in the range with its intensely earth-inflected, complex and layered nose of plum, floral elements and humus. There is superb intensity to the textured, mouth coating and driving medium weight plus flavors that exhibit near perfect balance on the saline, clean and austere finish. This will need at least 8 to 10 years of cellar time to sufficiently tame the firm tannins and will probably not be an '11 that will drink especially well young.
