Richebourg, Domaine Anne-Francoise Gros 2016

Tasting Notes

Bright balanced red purple. An immediate hit of quality oak, vanilla notes, but there is fruit beneath. And it does not take long for the fruit to rise to the top. Quintessential elegance, rose petals, smooth silky texture, quite a lot of new wood though. Very nicely presented, accessible wine, with good intensity

Blackberries and black cherries, and plenty of substance to give shape on the palate, but it doesn't have the opulence of their Pézerolles Pommard. Hard to justify the premium on price that is bound to come with the grand cru label! Drink between 2022-2042
