Puligny Pucelles, Louis Jadot 2017

An elegant and beautifully layered nose combines cool notes of honeysuckle, tea, spiced pear and a hint of jasmine. The medium weight flavors are not quite as concentrated as those of the Folatières but they are notably finer while exhibiting outstanding persistence on the impeccably well-balanced if bone dry and youthfully austere finish. This is clearly built-to-age and will need all of a decade and perhaps even a bit more to reach its apogee.

The 2017 Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Pucelles (Maison Louis Jadot) offers up aromas of ripe pears, white peaches, citrus blossom and spices. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny-textured, with tangy balancing acids and commendable length on the finish.
