Maury, L'Archiviste 1989

Tasting Notes

The 1989 Maury under Philippe Gayral's "L'Archiviste" label, might be one of his best "modern" releases to date. Amber core with a tawny rim, it has a very enchanting bouquet of toffee, rosewater, walnut and orange essence. The palate is well balanced and with impressive elegance, hints of mocha infusing the mulberry fruit towards the rounded, caressing finish. This is very promising. Tasted at Farr Vintners. 2028 - 2046
