Rivesaltes, Riveyrac 1983

Tasting Notes

The 1983 Rivesaltes just lacks the same complexity as some of the older vintages from Riveyrac – scents of dried honey, marmalade and just a touch of warmth. The palate is well balanced with a viscous entry, a touch of tangy orange rind and marmalade, smooth and harmonious with burnt toffee and dried fig towards the finish. Fine. Tasted with Philippe Gayral. 2018 - 2030

Vivid, dried citrus-peel fruit, quite fiery alcohol on the palate – much more forthright and youthful compared with the Sobilane style. Simply gorgeous fruit clarity.
