Gevrey Chambertin VV, Domaine Fourrier 2016

Tasting Notes

A pungent nose of earth and wood leads to supple, round and delicious medium-bodied flavors that are shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins while offering good length on the balanced finish. This is sufficiently forward that it could be enjoyed young.

An attractive bouquet of plums, cassis and earthy forest floor introduces the 2016 Gevrey-Chambertin Vieilles Vignes, a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny wine, with melting tannins, tangy acids and good concentration, concluding with a long finish. Elegant and pure, it exemplifies Fourrier's style.
