Puligny Montrachet Champ Canet, Jacques Carillon 2011

Tasting Notes

**Note: 40+ year old vines; aged in 20% new wood**
This is notably riper than the Macherelles, indeed to the point that there is a hint of the exotic with its aromas of pear, white peach and dried apricot. There is markedly better concentration to the medium-bodied flavors that display plenty of dry extract on the intense and saline-infused finish. Carillon seems to always do an excellent job with this wine and the 2011 version seems to be a bit finer than it usually is.
