Tasting Notes

Medium garnet in color, the 2013 Le Pauillac de Château Latour—a blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 54% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc—offers up notions of baked cherries, warm mulberries and plum preserves with touches of spice cake and dusty soil. Medium-bodied, soft, juicy and with loads of red and black fruit preserves flavors, it finishes on a refreshing earthy note. 2018 - 2024

Coming from one of the most difficult vintages in the past two decades or more, the 2013 Pauillac from Château Latour is nevertheless a terrific wine that offers plenty of charm and classic Pauillac character. Lots of cassis, leafy herbs, and graphite nuances give way to a pretty, elegant, balanced 2013 that has a delicious, elegant, drink me now style. Enjoy it over the coming 4-5 years. 2018 - 2022
