Tasting Notes |
The 2012 Pibran is soft, supple and very nicely balanced. Sweet plum, cinnamon, rose petal and tobacco notes open up in a plush, fruit-driven Pauillac to drink young, while the fruit retains its vibrancy. Silky tannins add elegance to the creamy, generous finish. The blend is 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon. This is a lovely effort from Pibran. 2016 - 2025 |

This has good energy, with anise and briar hints buried amid the core of dark plum and black currant fruit. The singed alder character melds nicely on the finish, along with a lingering bitter plum hint. Best from 2016 through 2020. 3,330 cases made. |

This is the second wine of Château Pibran, whose vineyard is situated close to those of the the first growths of Mouton and Lafite. Structured and dense, this is a solid, powerful wine, packed with juicy black currant fruits and generous tannins. Give this wine until 2018 before drinking. |
