Tasting Notes

A dense and layered white with lots of dried-lemon and -apple character. Hits of stones and gravel. Full-bodied, juicy and fruity with a delicious finish. Needs a year or two to come together.

Score: 92James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, February 2018

Pineapple, mint, candied lemon peel and apricot are some of the many notes that grace the 2015 Monbousquet Blanc. Distinctly tropical notes and rich texture are two of the signatures that distinguish Monbousquet Blanc from most other Bordeaux whites. The blend is 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Sauvignon Gris, 5% Sémillon and 5% Muscadelle. 2018 - 2022

Score: 90Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, February 2018

The 2015 Monbousquet Blanc is an attractive white built on texture and generosity. Ripe apricot, mint, white flowers and chamomile open up nicely. The Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle give the Blanc much of its distinctive creaminess and body, along with exotic floral notes that brighten the finish. This is one of the richer whites readers will come across in 2015. The blend is 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Sauvignon Gris, 5% Sémillon and 5% Muscadelle.

Score: 89/91Antonio Galloni, vinous.com, April 2016
