Tasting Notes

A little lean but some pleasant currant and lemon rind character. Medium body, firm tannins and fresh finish. A little hollow. Give it a couple years to fill out.

When to drink: 2018 to 2028
Dark crimson. Mainly Merlot and rather oak chips on the nose. Angular and a bit awkward. Wants to make a splash but producer- rather than consumer-led. Harsh drying sandpaper finish. Jancis Robinson

Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, April 2013

Barrel sample. With firm tannins along with acidity and freshness, this is a lively, smoky wine, finishing with intense juicy acidity.
