Tasting Notes

(60% pinot noir, 40% chardonnay, SRP $114, 8 g/L). A fresh, bright and overtly citrusy nose reflects plenty of yeast and floral characters. There is really lovely vibrancy to the refined and ultra-pure flavors where the supporting effervescence is equally fine. The lingering and well-balanced finish is drier than the reported dosage level would suggest and overall, this is lovely and still quite young. 92/2020+

Allen Meadows, Burghound.com (68), October 2017

An explosive yet focused nose of ripe stone fruits and brioche notes. It has a poised and elegant palate packed with green apple, autolytic notes and a crisp, steely acidity. There is an incredible balance to this Champagne which displays all the hallmarks of a vintage built for the long term. It has a powerful structure and a long, evolving, complex finish.

Farr Vintners, February 2017

Really quite broad and ripe on the nose with mildly floral notes and a hint of putty. Really very dramatic! Even a hint of marzipan. Creamy texture with a little bruised apple acidity. Admirably long. Really exciting. Is this a worthy successor to the 2002? Dink 2017-2030.
