Tasting Notes

Dense ruby purple with notes of mint, incense, herbs, black currant, and licorice, the 2004 Talbot is medium-bodied, moderately tannic, and slightly austere. It starts off well with an impressive attack, but narrows out in the mouth. It should evolve over a 10- to 14-year period.

Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (165), June 2006

Impressive ripeness for this vintage, with a raisin, almost jammy undertone and interesting coffee and wood character. Full-bodied and chewy. Well done.

James Suckling, Wine Spectator (April 05), April 2005
