Gevrey Chambertin Goulots, Domaine Fourrier 2009

Tasting Notes

This is also sufficiently reduced such that it is impossible to say very much other than the fruit appears quite ripe. The beautifully well-detailed flavors are also cool, restrained and minerally but as is usually the case, the tannins are finer and the overall impression is a wine of finesse and purity. Qualitatively, there isn't much to choose between this and the Cherbaudes as it's a choice between refinement versus greater complexity.
