Oberhauser Brücke Großes Gewächs Versteigerung, Weingut Dönnhoff 2015

Tasting Notes

This was initially expected to yield a fruity Spätlese but the slightly lower acidity led the Estate to produce a dry Riesling, its first from the Brücke since 1998, instead. The wine was sold at the Bad Kreuznach Auction in September 2016. The wine offers a superbly floral and perfumed nose with delicate notes of tangerine, orange blossom, quince, herbs and dried spices. The wine is hugely elegant on the palate as delicately silky scents of fruits come through and leave a rather fruit-loaded feel in the long finish. This is plain gorgeous and a superb dry Riesling in the making. 2018-2025
