Tasting Notes

The vineyard whose wine is sold under both Pitray and Parsac names is planted with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. Mild and well evolved even if a tad pinched on the end. Definitely chewy. But very correct for the money. For classicists who value austerity. It's rare to find an oaked, ageworthy wine at this price.

Jancis Robinson MW, JancisRobinson.com, November 2013

Bright ruby in colour with a plummy, red and black cherry fruit nose. The palate is fresh and moreish, with cherry and blackcurrant fruit to the fore and hints of cedar and smoke on the finish. This is classically structured but with delicious, plump fruit to make it ideal for drinking now and over the next five years. A great early window into the 2010 vintage.
