Gevrey Chambertin Champeaux, Domaine Fourrier 2014

Tasting Notes

As is often the case this is easily the most floral-inflected nose in the range, and this includes the Clos Sorbès, with its lavender, lilac, violet, red and white rose, dark cherry and earth-suffused aromas. There is fine intensity and detail to the medium-bodied flavors that display ample minerality on the delicious and balanced finale. I was surprised though by the absence of the usual excellent complexity though it's entirely possible that this will develop more than I presently imagine with time in bottle.
