Now comfortably established in the super-second league. Huge efforts are being made here by owners Chanel to make great wine, with production of first wine just 37% of the total harvest. The 70% new oak gives it a polished, silky mouth-feel but it is not a heavy-weight. Milk chocolate and cherry fruit. Will provide succulent early drinking.

Lovely coffee and tobacco character, with hints of fruit. Medium bodied, with fine tannins. Delicate finish. Solid red. Very good rauzan. Best after 2004. 89 points.
