Tasting Notes

A full and silky wine with a slightly hollow center-palate now but it’s very pretty and chewy. Needs two or three years to soften. Very persistent and structured.

James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com, February 2015

A bright ruby purple in the glass, the nose here oozes class, with graphite, plum, violets and black cherry supported by the slightest hint of wood smoke. The palate is smooth, supple and rounded, with the tannins fully integrated and offering a seamless texture to allow the juicy red and black fruits to shine through. Bright acidity lifts the finish into notes of violet and cherry blossom, with the gentle hum of spice and smoke lingering in the background.
