Almost invisible wood allows the lightly spiced and earthy red berry fruit aromas that are admirably pure to merge into relatively supple yet well-detailed broad-shouldered flavors that culminate in a lingering and solidly firm finish. This is unusually approachable but I expect that it will tighten up considerably after it is bottled. If so, this will definitely be a wine for the patient.
Medium red with a palish rim. Pungent aromas of red berries, stone and flowers. Full, sweet and powerful, conveying an impression of strong extract. Very rich but very young wine with a serious underlying mineral spine.
