Tasting Notes

The 2014 Mâcon Vergisson la Roche sees 15% new oak and underwent six months of regular lees-stirring. This has a more tropical nose compared to the 2014 Montbrison with hints of pineapple and white peach infusing the citrus fruit. The palate is taut on the entry with a malic entry, dew-speckled Granny Smiths with a focused and linear finish. This is an excellent Mâcon Vergisson. Drink 2016-2025.

Neal Martin, Wine Advocate (222), December 2015

Here the softly woody nose presently flirts with reduction and I would suggest a quick decantation if you're tempted to try a bottle immediately after release. By contrast there is fine verve to the rounded and stonier flavors that also possess an attractive palate feel while delivering fine if not excellent persistence on the finish that is shaped by firm but not drying acidity. Drink: 2018+

(Score actually 16++) Stony parcel surrounded by Pouilly Fuissé vineyards. 15% new oak. Minerally nose. Tight and introvert. Edgy and one can see the raspberry aromas.
