Richebourg, Domaine du Clos Frantin 2011

Tasting Notes

Much like the Grands Echézeaux, this is intensely floral with a cool and highly restrained nose of red berries, spice and stone scents. There is excellent volume and energy to the big-bodied, intense and overtly muscular flavors that terminate in a mineral-driven, dusty and beautifully long finish. This doesn't offer the same power that the Grands Echézeaux does but this is finer and the length simply doesn't quit. A first-class beauty that despite the muscle I would describe as a Richebourg of elegance and refinement. Drink: 2026+
