Tasting Notes

This is an excellent wine from Beaumont, a property sandwiched between the famous appellations of Pauillac and Margaux. Their 2005 has attractive plum, black cherry and blackcurrant fruit dominating the nose along with medium body, soft tannins and a round, juicy mouthfeel. Drinkable now, this wine should continue to offer delicious consumption over the next 4-5 years.

Chocolatey dark fruit, a little savoury and spiced. Lighter than expected on the palate. Harmonious, fresh and full of pleasure.

Leather, blackcurrant, cassis, menthol and cedarwood. Very savoury. Still very dense on the palate, with plenty of development to come, especially on the rather closed nose.
