Tasting Notes

The 1990 d'Armailhac is dark ruby/purple, with an expressive nose of smoked nuts, cassis, smoke, and chocolate. This velvety textured, round, agreeable wine lacks structure and length on the palate. It is charming but less concentrated than the 1989. Anticipated maturity: now. Last tasted, 11/96.
