A ripe, pure and relatively elegant nose of very dark pinot fruit with plenty of earth and underbrush nuances that add breadth. There is an impressive amount of dry extract to the mouth coating and velvety medium-bodied flavors that possess a seductive texture on the balanced and attractively complex finish. It's rare to see this level of quality from this appellation.
