Vosne Romanée Hautes Maizieres, Domaine Arnoux / Arnoux-Lachaux 2009

An exceptionally spicy and notably ripe nose offers up notes of hoisin, clove and anise that add depth to the fresh black berry and plum suffused aromas. The rich, full, generous and very suave middle weight flavors possess a discreet streak of minerality that is also present on the mouth coating and persistent finish. There is so much sap that the firm tannins seem less prominent. There is a trace of backend dryness though with this much dry extract, I don't think that there is much risk that it won't round out in time. Drink 2015+
