Vosne Romanée Les Brûlées, Domaine d'Eugénie 2008

Tasting Notes

(from 60+ year old vines). This is slightly riper with a very spicy black pinot fruit nose that complements rich, cool and palate staining medium-bodied flavors that are also blessed with sophisticated (though not invisible) tannins and a lovely mouth feel on the balanced, velvety and admirably long finish.

A blend of the produce of two parcels and they may decide to bottle the produce of the upper parcel, which constitutes about 40% of the whole, separately in some vintages. Dark crimson. Rich, briary and gamey on the nose. Very good balance. Real energy here. Long and reverberant.

This is riper still with a very spicy black pinot fruit nose that complements rich, cool and palate staining medium-bodied flavors that are also blessed with very sophisticated tannins and a lovely mouth feel on the balanced, velvety and admirably long finish.
