Tasting Notes

The Moulin Riche is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. It is very taciturn on the nose despite rigorous coaxing with faint tertiary, crushed stone notes emerging with time. The palate is more vocal with a silky smooth entry, nice depth of fruit: blackberry, raspberry, vanilla and a touch of black pepper. Sedate and rounded, quite sensual towards the finish. Fine. Tasted April 2012.

Neal Martin, RobertParker.com, April 2012

A wine with berry, hazelnut and mineral character. Medium to full body with fine tannins and a fresh finish. Very fine for this vintage. Needs another two to three years to open.
