The de Fieuzal Blanc has crisp minerality on the nose with notes of fresh lime, kiwi and green apples. It gains intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with a crisp entry, well-integrated oak, although I was seeking more tension and personality towards the finish. Perhaps this will offer more after bottling because it has good substance. Tasted April 2012.
Fascinating dry white with lavender, lemon-rind and sliced-apple character. Full, very dry and mineral, with chalk and fruit character. Solid and structured. Needs at least four or five years to soften, but what a white. Better in 2017.
Rich, quite fleshy citrussy fruits, exuberant wine which is less oak-influenced than in the past but is still on the rich side. Will mature well.
This harks back to the wonderful vintages of white Fieuzal from the 1980s. Mineral, dried citrus, sliced green apple and chalk. Full body, with bright acidity and a long racy finish. A beauty.
