Echézeaux, Domaine d'Eugénie 2010

Tasting Notes

**Note: from a .55 ha parcel in the En Orveaux climat with vines planted in 1924 and 1979**
This is also exuberantly fresh with slightly riper aromas of spiced plum, black cherry and a lovely floral component that merges into silky, even velvety flavors that possess excellent mid-palate concentration. This is both bigger and richer if perhaps not quite as tension-filled on the long, brooding, somber and moderately austere finish. Like the 2011 version this is relatively fine compared to the typical Echézeaux thanks to its terroir but that shouldn't affect its ability to age and improve effortlessly for the next 12 to 15 years as the balance is impeccable.
