Tasting Notes

Medium-deep garnet in colour, this wine offers wonderful aromatic complexity with notes of bitter chocolate, leather, plums and a hint of spice box. The fruit is cool, but still vibrant. The palate follows with cherries and plums still showing through the wonderfully savoury notes of cedar, game and tobacco. The tannins have fully melted into the wine and offer a cocoa-powder texture that supports the fruit through to the finish. This is wonderfully evolved and perfect to drink right now, melding fruit with layers of spicy, smoky, and earthy complexity.
