Moderate wood influence does not dominate the notably ripe purple and blue fruit nose laced with plenty of earth and humus notes that continue onto the fresh, intense and overtly muscular big-bodied flavors that are also quite powerful and culminate in a palate staining finish. This is very Corton in 2008 though not rustic.
