Latricières Chambertin, Domaine Rossignol-Trapet 2009

Tasting Notes

A reserved and quite floral medium-pitched nose speaks of wet stone and anise on the pure red pinot fruit aromas that complement well the mineral-driven flavors that offer a seductively textured and energetic finish that possesses picture-perfect balance and excellent length. This is not a big wine and though it's not strict, neither is it especially generous at present. However, a fine Latricières often puts on weight and flesh as it ages and I suspect that is what this will do too.
