Saint Joseph Les Granits, Maison M. Chapoutier 2007

Tasting Notes

The full-bodied 2007 St.-Joseph Les Granits exhibits sweet black currant fruit, camphor, rock, and exotic Asian spice characteristics. With slightly less density and weight than the 2006, it should drink nicely for 10-15 years.

Robert Parker, Wine Advocate (182), April 2009

Ripe and voluptuously-styled, with black raspberry, charcoal, roasted herbs, graphite and toast giving way to a medium to full-bodied, impressively concentrated Syrah that's still young and lively. Drinking nicely at the moment. Enjoy bottles over the coming 7-8 years.
