Bonnes Mares, Domaine d'Auvenay 2001

Tasting Notes

Superbly elegant, remarkably complex and deep blackberry fruit followed by sappy, dense, intensely pure, full-bodied flavors that just ooze sap which completely wraps the big, ripe tannic structure. Phenomenally long and precise with a lovely textured finish. This is rather forward and approachable for young Bonnes Mares though it may very well tighten up over the next year or two. Extremely strong in an understated, almost discreet style.
