Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book (4), December 2003

The Langoa '99 has a very ripe, lifted bouquet with blackberry, a touch of espresso, dried herbs, cedar wood and a little mint. Very good definition, quite perky and bright! It is certainly more generous than its older sibling at the moment with lifted ripe black, spicy fruit, though lacking the same breeding and finesse towards the finish. Quite sappy, lively and drink well now. Nice tobacco on the aftertaste too. Drink now-2015.
