Robert Parker, Bordeaux Book (4), December 2003

A great Langoa - nose slowly opening up. Dark black fruits with masses of pencil-lead aromas. Good depth with structured inky black fruits. This is an excellent well-made wine. Drink 2003-2014

A solid and delicious 98. Plenty of currant and mint character. Medium to full bodied with a velvety texture and a long finish. Almost outstanding.

A dense ruby/purple color as well as a muscular, ageworthy personality are found in this "no BS" sort of wine. It possesses loads of body, impressive concentration, and firm tannin in the finish. However, it is a wine for those who are able to defer their gratification as it requires another 4-5 years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2025.
