Tasting Notes

This is quite an elegant wine showing very nicely now. Despite signs of evolution (such as the golden color), its aromatic profile remains cool and subdued with hints of pink grapefruit, Asian spices, zest and herbs. The balance is refined with superb fresh slatey notes on the palate. This is very easy to drink with its easy direct freshness and yet offers great complexity and refinement for who wants to spend some time with this wine. Now-2025

Exceptionally acid and even raw. Not nearly ready. Fierce – lots of extract but tastes almost dry thanks to the acidity. So different from say Clos Ste Hune 90 in its state of evolution. It was much more open in youth. Now it’s the most curmudgeonly of the tasting.
