Tasting Notes

This silky, lavishly fruity, extravagantly concentrated Cotes de Castillon was fashioned from yields of 18 hectoliters per hectare and is a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Its deep plum/ruby color is followed by sweet notes of earth, roasted herbs and red as well as black fruits. Like the 2010, it is a major sleeper of the vintage. Enjoy it now and over the next 5-7 years.

Stéphane Derenoncourt's home farm.Dark crimson. Cool and fresh with lovely sweetness too even if not the most concentrated wine. Very well managed.
